IELTS | Test Takers – Listening sample
The Listening test is 30 minutes long and is four recorded monologues and conversations.
The Listening test is the same for both Academic and General Training tests.
Computer-delivered IELTS Listening test
There is no difference in the content, format or level of difficulty and scoring of the computer-delivered IELTS test. The type of Listening questions asked, thus, remain the same as in the paper-based test: Please ensure you are using Chrome or Firefox to launch the sample texts.
While attempting the sample tests, in each sample, you will have some time to look through the questions before the recording starts, and some time at the end to check your answers.

Which test is best for me?
This comes down to personal preference and choice. Some test takers will be used to paper-based tests as this might feel similar to other exam situations from school, whereas other people might feel more comfortable typing.
