Proof of funds is required to demonstrate that applicants have enough money to settle in Canada. Candidates who receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) through an Express Entry draw must provide written proof of funds to remain eligible. IRCC emphasizes that the funds must be available at the time of application and issuance of a permanent resident visa. Candidates must update their settlement fund numbers in their Express Entry profile to stay eligible.
